The worldwide outbreak of COVID-19 has left us with many concerns about the spread of this new disease. But, what exactly is a Pandemic?

According to WHO (World Health Organization) - a pandemic is a worldwide spread of a new disease. When a new disease first shows up; most of us do not have a natural immunity to fight off the new disease. This can cause a quick spread of the disease between people, communities and around the world. Without a natural immunity to fight off the disease, many of us can become sick as is spreads.

COVID-19 is a new disease and we are still learning about how it spreads.
